The Church Basement Ladies in Rise Up, O Men! Review

On March 19, 2019, I got the chance to go see Church Basement Ladies Rise up O Men. I really enjoyed it.

I have seen five out of the seven Church Basement Ladies shows that have been touring.

Men in the Parish Basement? What’s a church lady to do? “Rise Up O Men” gives the gents a chance to shine in the latest installment of the Church Basement Ladies musical comedy series. As the church prepares for participation in the town’s 1964 Centennial Celebration, we get to see their coming and goings from the eyes of the menfolk, who have their own problems to solve.

Murder at the Malt Shop Review

This is a show that I was actually in. The show ran from February 28, 2019, to March 1, 2019, at 6:00pm in the Scottsbluff High School cafeteria. This show was so much fun to be a part of. I was a waiter so my job was to get everything set up and to serve the food that the customers (the audience) got to eat. I also got to make up a character and interact with the cast. It was so much fun.

The play is a zany murder mystery where the audience watches the story unfold as they eat dinner. Part way into the play, the actors will circulate through the diners while staying in character which allows each viewer to ask actors three questions to help in trying to solve the mystery. After the audience has had a chance to write down their guesses as to who has committed the murder, the final scene is played out and the guilty party is revealed.

This production was performed as a dinner theater so what did the audience have for Dinner? For dinner, the audience was served a salad for an appetizer. For the main course, they had a tasty hamburger, and for dessert, they had a delicious rootbeer float. everything that they got to eat was really good. and all of the food was made by the Scottsbluff High School culinary arts program.

Hi everyone my Name is Ethan Koehler.

I have been acting in shows since I was seven years old. The first show that I was in was called Children of Eden. I did that show in the summer of 2008.

I am a person who loves theater. I have been in so many productions. Theater is my passion. I want to go into Stage Management. This is because I was the Stage Manager for my school’s production of Into The Woods last year, and I fell in love with it and I am the stage manager for my school’s Production of Newsies this year.

Featuring star turns, tap and ballet dancing, and comic surprises, this show has become an international phenomenon.

RENT LIVE Review

On Saturday, January 27, 2019, FOX produced a live musical version of Jonathon Larson´s beloved musical RENT.

The poster for FOX´s Production of RENT Live

The cast was absolutely incredible.

Cast:

Jordan Fisher as Mark Cohen

Brennan Hunt as Roger Davis

Tinashe as Mimi Marquez

Brandon Victor Dixon as Tom Collins

Valentina as Angel Dumott Schunard

Vanessa Hudgens as Maureen Johnson

Kiersey Clemons as Joanne Jefferson

Mario as Benjamin “Benny” Coffin III

RENT Live was amazing.

The cast of RENT Live in front of a glowing logo for the production.

Although it was not live because Brennan broke his foot during the final dress rehearsal the night before which was filmed. So the audience at home saw the dress rehearsal from the night before. Which wasn’t a bad thing it just wasn’t what people were expecting. It was also the lowest viewed live musical yet.

This musical is really cool. I liked it very much. The Phantom of the Opera has just celebrated its thirty-first anniversary on Broadway on January 26, 2019, which is really amazing to think about. It is the Longest Running Musical ever.

If you have already seen the Phantom of the Opera, you can always see it again. It can be a different experience every single time you go. Especially now because the show has made some new changes after the Phantom of the Opera´s 25th anniversary on October 2, 2011.

If you go see it you will not regret it. It is so wonderful and amazing.
